Our Team of Professionals

Not everyone in the industry has what it takes to meet our high professional standards. SilverMark staff members are carefully hired and trained on an ongoing basis to provide our clients the highest quality craftsmanship and customer service possible.

Our average staff member has 18 years of proven experience in the industry. All of our project managers and lead carpenters have the distinction of having earned the Certified Lead Carpenter (CLC) certification by the National Association of the Remodeling Industry. On every level our staff is dedicated to delivering professional results.

Terry Streich, Co-founder and President
Terry has been in the remodeling industry since 1976 and is the co-founder of SilverMark, Inc. His favorite part of his job is solving home design problems for his clients. He enjoys talking with them, finding out what they feel is wrong with their homes, learning about what they want from their homes, and suggesting functional and creative solutions. His other interests include music, learning to play jazz guitar, and gardening; especially designing, planting, re-planting, and re-designing. He also loves canoeing, camping and bicycling. He’s an avid swimmer and each year tries to swim at least 100 miles.

Gary Welton, Co-founder, CFO
and Production Manager
Like Terry, Gary has been in the remodeling industry since 1976. He also shares the love of improving the quality of life for our clients by designing and producing superior remodeling projects. Gary enjoys world travel and learning about other people and cultures. He has visited Nepal, Rome, Berlin, Costa Rica, and India. He is an accomplished fine artist and has had his work (mostly paintings and sculpture) shown around the world. Much of Gary’s art is about dance and dancers, another passion of his.

Key members of our team include:

		Mark Andresen, Project Manager and a Certified Lead Carpenter (CLC) Mark has been with us since 1990. When not remodeling on a job site, you may find him gardening or on a golf course relaxing.
		Randy Kirk, Project Manager and CLC Randy has also been with us since 1990. Outside of work, family fills Randy’s life. He is active in his kids’ lives, coaching their sports teams including hockey, basketball, and soccer. Whatever they’re interested in playing, he’ll sign up to be their coach.
		Kathy Berven, Project Manager and a CLC Kathy has been part of our staff since 1996. She holds the distinction of being one of very few women in the country to have earned the CLC certification. On weekends you can often find Kathy with her binoculars bird watching and enjoying nature.
		Shari Johnson, Project Manager and Coordinator Shari has 16 years experience as a production manager and coordinator, the last 6 with SilverMark. Her joy is training her Yorkshire terrier and competing in the dog sport of agility, as attested by the many ribbons and photos that decorate her office. She also creates floral arrangements, is an amateur photographer and loves to sail, snorkel, read, garden, and travel.
		Eric Sunde, Estimator With a degree in construction management and a family rooted in the construction industry, Eric has been involved in remodeling and reconstruction his entire life. He has been with our company since 2001. He enjoys recreational sports and is an avid Twins fan.
		Erin Finucane, Remodeling Consultant As an independent remodeling consultant, Erin works closely with us in helping our new clients explore their remodeling options and get the most out of their remodeling investment.  She brings to the table her years of experience with SilverMark as well as more than ten years of experience in interior design.  Erin loves hanging out with her daughter and her two cats in her spare time, and also enjoys reading and traveling anywhere there is an ocean to look at.
